You do not need to know all the salon terminology before booking. Start by choosing the service that feels closest to your goal and include as much detail as possible in your booking notes. You are also welcome to schedule a consultation if you are planning a major change, correcting previous color have any concerns or considering extensions.
Every guest’s hair is different. The final price may vary based on your hair length, density, current condition, color history, desired result and the amount of time or product needed. We will talk through your goals and expected investment before beginning your service.
Consultations are recommended for major color transformations, corrective color, vivid or creative color. Consultations are required for new extension guests. Maintenance appointments and more straightforward services can usually be booked without a separate consultation.
For most color appointments, arrive with hair that is clean, dry and free from heavy oils, root sprays or excessive product buildup. Your hair does not need to be freshly washed that morning, but heavily coated hair can affect how the color processes.
Absolutely. Inspiration photos are one of the easiest ways to show me what you are drawn to. We will use them as a starting point and talk about how the color, cut or style can be customized to your hair, lifestyle and maintenance preferences.
Moonlit Mirror is a private suite with limited seating, and there may occasionally be another guest in the salon during part of your appointment. If someone comes with you, please keep in mind that they may need to use the additional seating located in the hallway. For everyone’s comfort, I recommend attending your appointment alone whenever possible unless you need someone with you for assistance.
Some goals can be achieved in one visit, while others may require multiple appointments. Your starting color, previous color history and the health of your hair all affect what can safely be accomplished. I will always be honest about what is realistic and recommend a plan that protects the integrity of your hair.
Yes. Your appointment is your time, and you are welcome to spend it however you feel most comfortable. Whether you want to talk, relax, read, work, wear headphones or enjoy a quieter visit, there is no pressure to make conversation.
Because your appointment time is reserved specifically for you, I ask that any changes be made within the cancellation window listed during booking. Arriving 10 or more minutes late may require adjusting or rescheduling your service so that the experience of the next guest is not affected. Cancellation or late fees may apply according to the salon policy. View policies for more specifics.
If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms that may be contagious, please contact me as soon as possible so we can reschedule your appointment.
Same-day changes due to illness may be exempt from the cancellation fee when the appointment is rescheduled rather than canceled. Repeated last-minute changes may still be subject to the regular cancellation policy.
My priority is maintaining a comfortable and healthy environment for every guest, so please do not feel pressured to attend your appointment while you are sick.
Moonlit Mirror accepts the payment methods displayed through Vagaro, Cash, Apple Pay, Zelle, Venmo, cash app and any other digital payment.. A card may be required on file when booking to protect the time reserved for your appointment, but it will not be charged unless required under the cancellation or no-show policy.
Appointments can be booked online through Vagaro. Choose the service that most closely matches your goal, complete any required forms and leave helpful notes about what you are hoping to achieve.
If you do not see a time that works for you, feel free to message or text me directly. I occasionally have availability that may not appear online, or I may be able to help you find the best service and appointment time for your needs. Additional availability is not guaranteed, but you are always welcome to ask.
Appointments outside my regular booking hours may be available by request and are subject to availability. Moonlit Mirror is located inside Phenix Salon Suites in Countryside. Once you enter the building, continue down the long main hallway until you reach Suite 113.
Because Moonlit Mirror is located inside the salon-suite building rather than in a separate storefront, look for the Phenix Salon Suites entrance when you arrive.
I want you to feel comfortable and confident with your hair, so please reach out if something does not feel quite right after your appointment. I would always rather have the opportunity to talk through your concern and see how I can help than have you leave feeling unsure.
Please contact me within seven days of your service and include photos whenever possible. If an adjustment related to the original service is needed, we will arrange a time to take care of it. Requests that involve changing the original plan, choosing a different color or adding an additional service may require a separate appointment and additional cost.
Please be honest about any previous color, lightener, henna, at-home treatments or professional services you have had—even if they were done several months ago. Your color history can affect what is safely achievable and may change the amount of time or number of appointments needed to reach your goal.

Walk-in availability is not guaranteed, but you are always welcome to message or text me about same-day or last-minute openings. If you are planning a major color change, corrective service, creative color or new extension installation, a consultation may be required before booking.
You are welcome to arrive a few minutes early or right at your scheduled appointment time. Because Moonlit Mirror is a private suite and I may still be finishing with another guest, you may need to wait briefly before starting your appointment. Additional seating is available in the hallway if needed.
If you have Vagaro text or app notifications turned on, I will let you know when I am ready to begin your service. Occasionally, I may be ready earlier than expected, but there is never any need to rush—you are still welcome to arrive at your originally scheduled time.
