Where The Magic Started
My journey behind the chair began when I was 16. My hairstylist at the time noticed my interest and passion for the industry and gave me the opportunity to work in her salon as her assistant. I was a very shy kid, but once I began coming out of my shell, I fell in love with the day-to-day hustle and bustle of salon life. I loved building relationships with so many different people, and every day felt exciting and new. I had always been drawn to the salon environment. As a kid, it seemed like the “cool girls” were the ones working in salons. I watched them express themselves, have fun and make people feel good about themselves, and I was sold. I knew I never wanted to work somewhere I dreaded going every day. I wanted the freedom, creativity and connection that I saw in those women.
When it was time to decide what came after high school, I explored the idea of going to college and following the path everyone expected me to take. Still, something inside me kept pulling me back toward beauty school. After graduation, my boss at the time offered me a full-time position as her assistant so I could experience salon life at that level and make sure it was truly what I wanted. I decided to take a year before starting school and accepted her offer—and I loved it. She taught me so much during that time. I looked up to her as a mentor and hoped that one day I could build meaningful client relationships and a thriving career like she had.
In October 2012, I enrolled at the John Amico School of Hair Design. I was determined to finish school and begin building my career. I completed my schooling in September 2013, became officially licensed that October and started working full time behind the chair at a neighborhood salon in January 2014. Owning a business was never originally part of my plan. However, after spending six years at that salon and learning more about hair, client relationships and the business side of the industry, I realized I wanted to become my own boss. More importantly, I wanted to create the type of salon environment I had always searched for as a client myself. Traditional salon experiences often made me feel like I had to be dressed up or look a certain way just to get my hair done. Everything felt very polished and high-end, but I did not always feel like I belonged. I wanted to create an experience that still felt elevated and professional without feeling intimidating, overly formal or judgmental.
That vision led me to open my own private salon suite, originally known as Mirror Mirror, in January 2020. Having my own space gave me the freedom to create a more personal experience where my guests could feel comfortable, at home and completely themselves without judgement. I wanted it to be a place where you could slow down, reset from everyday life and leave feeling more confident than when you arrived.
As both my business and personal style evolved, I knew the salon’s identity needed to evolve with me. In February 2026, Mirror Mirror became Moonlit Mirror—a name that better reflected the salon’s atmosphere, my personal style and the experience I had grown into. Today, Moonlit Mirror is a space for anyone who wants to feel comfortable being themselves in a low-key environment while still receiving a high-end experience. Every detail—from the music and décor to the privacy of the suite—has been chosen to make your appointment feel like more than another trip to the salon. It is a place to relax, vent, enjoy some much-needed time for yourself and leave feeling more like you.
Moonlit Mirror may have started with a love for hair, but it has grown into a space where connection, creativity, self-expression and a little bit of magic can exist together.
Hair with intention
Beautiful hair should do more than look good when you leave the salon. It should feel like you, fit into your life and still feel good weeks after your appointment.
Every service begins with a thoughtful consultation so I can really understand what you love about your hair, what is no longer working for you and what you are hoping to change. We will also talk about your routine, how often you want to come into the salon and how much maintenance you realistically want to take on.
From there, every part of your service is chosen with purpose. Your color formula, placement, treatments and products are customized around your hair history, texture, condition and long-term goals. I am not here to give every guest the same result or simply copy what is trending. I want to create something that feels personal to you and makes sense for your everyday life.
I will also always be honest about what your hair can safely handle and what is realistic for one appointment. Sometimes we can reach your goal right away, and other times the healthiest option is to create a plan and work toward it over a few visits. Protecting the integrity of your hair will always be part of the process.
Hair with intention means thinking beyond the finished photo. It is about creating a beautiful result that feels like you, supports the health of your hair and continues to work for you long after you leave the salon.
Always learning, Always growing
The beauty industry is always evolving, and I believe my education should continue evolving with it. Throughout my career, I have continued investing in classes and certifications that help me strengthen my skills, better understand the products I use and provide more thoughtful recommendations for my guests.
For me, continuing education is not about chasing every new trend. It is about learning which techniques, treatments and products are truly worth bringing behind the chair—and how to use them in a way that supports each guest’s individual hair goals.
The more I learn, the more confidently I can customize your service, protect the health of your hair and create results that feel right for you. I am always looking for ways to grow as a stylist while staying true to the honest, personalized experience Moonlit Mirror was built around.

Personality type: introverted homebody, salon extrovert, concert addict, and professional over-explainer of my current obsessions.
Daily Look: anywhere from oversized and unbothered to alt baddie but either way its definitely all black and Im probably wearing a beanie with a Dunkin unsweetened ice green tea in hand
Music taste: mostly metalcore, emo nostalgia, and a healthy dose of 90s/00s throwbacks with the occasional country curveball just to keep everyone guessing.
Always down to talk about: music, astrology, reality TV chaos, true crime documentaries, your life updates, or whatever is currently living rent-free in your head.

Where you'll find me
Outside the salon, you’ll probably find me catching whatever metal band is in town, grabbing an iced tea and wandering through a thrift store, or hunting down the latest viral spooky find before it disappears.
If I’m not chasing live music or spooky treasures, I’m probably hitting a trail with my boyfriend and the dogs or at the gym proving I’m stronger than I look.
When I’m in full homebody mode, I’m usually curled up with a cozy game, working on whatever craft has my attention that week or convincing myself I definitely have room for one more creative project.
I’m equal parts concert energy, cozy homebody and “let’s just stop at one more store.” Most of my favorite days involve good music, a little adventure and finding something weird, nostalgic or slightly spooky to bring home.
